Project Description:

 

The facility will include unique architecture to blend into historic Charleston and the Spoleto Festival headquarters located across the street.  The project will submit for LEED® Gold certification.  The new building will provide classroom, office and meeting spaces for the University.

 

The project commissioned systems included:

 

• Building Automation System.
• Ground-coupled heat pumps.
• Evaporative cooling.
• Natural ventilation.
• Energy recovery ventilators.
• Lighting controls based on daylighting and occupancy sensing.
• Photovoltaic system.
• Solar water heating.
• Rainwater harvesting.
