University of South Carolina Columbia, SC This first part of the campus consists of three research buildings with wet labs, dry labs, vivarium, classrooms, offices, and two parking decks, totaling more than 1 million square feet and $120 million. The research buildings include a Biomedical Research Building, Energy/Chemistry Research Building, and Public Health Research/Office Building. The projects will be LEED® certified. System WorCx is providing commissioning, energy modeling, IAQ testing, and Measurement & Verification Plans. |

Furman University Greenville, SC System WorCx is providing commissioning services for this 200,000 SF LEED® addition and renovation project. The project includes laboratories for all university science departments, including biology, genetics, chemistry, physics, geology, and ecology. The building also includes a vivarium, herbarium, and other specialty spaces. The building will include sustainable technologies including chilled beam radiant cooling, radiant floor heating and cooling, lighting controls, heat recovery, and other sustainable features. System WorCx is commissioning all HVAC, fume hood, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm, and emergency power systems. |

Master Commissioning Agreement Charleston County Schools Charleston, SC System WorCx was selected to provide commissioning services for construction projects across Charleston County’s extensive school construction program. These include both new construction and major renovation projects. |

Union County Schools Monroe, NC This project included a 100,000 square foot addition for a new technology and arts high school. Spaces inside included high-tech classrooms, performing arts rooms, a gymnasium, and kitchen. Outside, new, lighted athletic fields were included. The project also included a 40,000 square foot renovation to the existing school, which suffered from inadequate heating and ventilation, poor energy performance and no fire protection. Michael Mantai and System WorCx provided commissioning services for all HVAC and electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency power, lighting controls, voice/data, media retrieval, and audio-visual systems. |

Master Commissioning Agreement Wake County Schools Raleigh, NC System WorCx was selected to provide commissioning services for construction projects across Wake County’s extensive school construction program. These include both new construction and major renovation projects.

Union County Schools Monroe, NC This project added new classrooms, restrooms, and an outdoor dining pavilion with infrared radiant heating. The project also included rework and upgrade to the facility chilled water system, which suffered from inadequate operation. The system was reconfigured to convert to a primary/secondary distribution system, relocate a chiller, and create better redundancy and performance of the system. Michael Mantai was the engineer of record and oversaw the construction and testing of the new systems.
